it's clearly wedding season when one is forced to abandon all bloggerly ways and, well, sit down and calligraphize.
and while i'm smack-dab in the middle of two very special projects at present, it seems only fitting to likewise take the opportunity to call your attention to two very special people:
sam and tiff.
i've known them both since approximately undergrad, although tiff had the distinct privilege/disadvantage of being my college roommate for two+ years. during this time, she managed to:
a) save my life.
b) do a bunch of other, wonderfully rambunctious and charming things which fall second only to, yes, SAVING MY LIFE.
did i mention that both she and sam are doctors? did i mention that tiff performed this act of kindness -- carting me to the hospital during my bout with appendicitis -- long (long-long) before she'd graduated from undergrad, let alone med school and/or residency?
well. three weeks ago i had the honor of witnessing sam and tiff marry each other: an event strewn with joy, silliness, and profound maturity. i love them both dearly. so much so -- that i painted an impromptu chalkboard sign in their honor:
looking forward to your 50th anniversary, kids.
hell yes i'll do the calligraphy.
