Gnome Man's Land

i am worried about the gnomes. they lived on my street.

here they are, pictured last august:

note the inexplicable jugs of water.

it's been my ongoing dream to catch a glimpse of the gnome gardener him(or her)self. i have walked by this garden, several times a day and at all hours, for the last six months and have seen not a trace. i imagine that he or she comes out in the wee hours of the morning, and only by the light of a full moon.

having observed this family for some time, i was relieved, last august, to see that the gnomes evacuated just in time to avoid the wrath of hurricane irene.

however.

unlike most brooklyn residents who rode out the storm on higher ground, the gnomes have yet to return home. they are still missing. in their place -- a barren wasteland.

i walk by everyday and hope for more answers. if you or someone you know has information leading to the whereabouts of the gnome family of hicks street, carroll gardens, please let me know.

gnome family, if you're out there, please come home. we miss you.
